Last week we hosted our final Wedding Workshop for 2012 and we still are super happy how everything went. Our dear friend and wedding planer Doreen Winking is on our workshop boat since the first minute. After the spring edition in April and May was causing a lot of people to email us about new dates we where teaming up with Doreen again for a possible workshop in late October.
So the day was coming last week. We were waiting with itchy feet to meet this entire fabulous people for the pre workshop dinner at our favorite Indian restaurant. It is the best way to make people get to know each other without any pressure. We always talk about peoples lives, their path and sure about photography. It gives everyone a better feeling for the coming two days and it really breaks the ice.
As for the location we this time have chosen a brilliant wedding location where we had the pleasure to work several times already. “Die Alte Gärtnerei” is located in Taufkirchen, which is just right outside of Munich. It is a popular wedding location and it gives us for our workshop a wonderful place and a lot of space as well as a two weather strategie. Maria Lucas is a super sweet person we love the fact that everything is very laid back and no stress at all at this place. We will be back for sure 😉
Self reviewing our own workshop is not cool so we are not talking about the content here, but you will find lots of blog posts from the attendees in the “world wide web” and you can read what they think of it. For us, it has been a fantastic time with so many creative and fun people and we are more than honored that people come to learn from us. We love teaching and we love to work together with the best in the industry to create experiences for other photographers.
We want to thank our two (wedding and e-shoot) workshop couples and specially Marija and Danijel for their extremely professional modeling. We found them through our Facebook shout a week before the workshop, where we got about 20 applications. So, this we will definitely take over to the next year to find the right couples and if you are interested into being part of the Workshop, be sure you follow us on Facebook (LINK).
About the Candi Wedding Workshop Core Team:
Doreen Winking is one of the best wedding planers out there and she has a team of creatives around her, which you might not find twice. Even the schedule was pretty tight for all of us, she was able to come up with a perfect autumn concept just like that and coordinated the other service suppliers and made them all fit pefectly into the concept.
Sonja Bührke from “Die Exklusiven Einladungskarten” was again responsible for everything stationary and with her laser cut technique and creativity she once more blew our minds. The things she creates are always new and never been seen in Germany (or even worldwide) before. We are so happy to have her playing in our team and also shot weddings with her wonderful work.
Julia Hörl from “Hörl & Hörl – floral kreativ” isn’t just a very successful (international!!) florist but she is a super nice person as well. A day like 1st November is the second busiest day in a florist’s life together with Valentine’s Day and she still wanted to be part of this all. Very early in the morning, when the last Halloween Monsters were still stumbling around, she visited the cemeteries to place the flowers for the graves. We are humbled to have Julia on board and we are in love with her sense for the perfect flowers and accessories to every concept.
Heike Krohz, from “Torten und Patisserieservice suess-und-salzig”, isn’t just around the corner if you look at the map. But since the last workshop, she is offering her products and services to be part of the style shoot as well. She was working hard to get all the wedding cakes and uncountable super delicious pastries ready right in time. To show up at 7:15 am after a 230km drive, you can imagine how much we appreciate her effort and her wonderful work.
Kerstin Mechler from “Küss die Braut” let us choose again a wedding dress out of her beautiful 2013 collection and we are always happy to find the right one for our “bride”. Thank you Kerstin for being part of all this!
It’s almost becoming a tradition already that our style shoot photos are featured on Hochzeitswahn.de right in the morning of the next day. Patricia Hoffmann and her team are running this wonderful and inspirational wedding blog and we are honored to the max to work with her. If you don’t know this blog, check it out and also be sure you get a copy of THE WEDDING BOOK which will be released 20.12.2012 but can be preordered already. Lotsa inspirations there! Almost 400 pages. Here is the link to the shop.
We are very looking forward to the next workshops in 2013. Most likely announced already in January/February. Contact us if you want to be part.
Also, if you are a service supplier and you want to be part of the team, feel free to email us too.
So, enough said about the workshop and the people. Here are some pictures and behind the scenes.
Thank you all so much but specially to Doreen and her team! We are very looking forward to meet you all again.
