This weekend we were honored to spend in beautiful Reutlingen, Baden-Wuerttemberg, at the huge wedding of Hanna and Daniel. The inquiry came via our friend and fellow photographer Jan from Jon Pride Photography. Very gifted young guy btw and you have to check out his work, very cool stuff.
After a little chat via Skype we knew the chemistry is working for the four of us and we were all excited to meet them in person. We started early morning in Munich to hit the A8. This is always a special kick if we make it in time due to traffic or not. Fortunately we made it and started the day with the getting ready.Until Saturday, Hanna and Daniel were living in an apartment-sharing community. And between moving out, packing for the honeymoon they had a wedding planned with the help of all their friends 😉 Over 300(!!) people were invited for the ceremony which was held in the community center of the Christian community Reutlingen. Hanna and Daniel told us, that the ceremony is going to be a bit different than we maybe have seen before and you bet that this was true! The ceremony started with rock music based chant, people where raising their arms and praising the lord. Everybody stood up to sing and dance and celebrate the wonderful day.
This all was followed by very personal speeches, the vows and the blessing from their parents. To some extend, this was really unknown to us before and we absolutely liked the personal and liberal approach of this wedding.
Besides all that, we went out to do a couple shooting just next to the community centre in an urban environment. Great location and also a bit different from other, nature based shootings.
The reception was in an event hall in Baltmannsweiler which was perfect for this huge crowd and also provided a stage. After a delicious catering meal we were witnesses of amazing dancing and singing performances held by friends and family. Unbelievable, how much effort everyone put into making this wedding unforgettable for Hanna and Daniel. Seriously, hats off!
Here is to wish you, Hanna and Daniel, all the best for your future and thank you for having us being part of your special event. Hope to see you someday again.
Love from Munich
